….@ Wufas Agronet, we don’t know more than Food.
( We earned “FAO” Top Fan barge ).
With adequate security wherever it is demanded in Nigeria , famine will be checked ensuring an enduring prosperity.
Massive organic commercial farming will enable affordability as it’s the case in the developed clime.
STARCH
Detailed manufacturing process of starch: Production program, Financial Investment, Organogram , Marketing survey of Maize and Cassava starch are available.
MAIZE
Corn – are commonly found in all geo- political zones of Nigeria. Its commonly consumed by the larger population. Investment in maize starch is commercially viable. Research indicates that the Textile, Pharmaceutical, Paper and Food processing industries requires huge amount of corn starch for production. Presently over 98% of corn starch is imported annually from Asia, China in particular.
CASSAVA
Over 90% of various industrial cassava flour are imported eg. HQCF ( high quality cassava flour.), Cassava flour – (an adjunct in the wheat flour mill) , Sweetener- (enzymatic hydrolysis of cassava starch), Ethanol – cassava chips (enzymatic hydrolysis of cassava starch – fermentation) , Caramel, Animals feeds. etc. Cassava is locally consumed as Garri, starch, tapioca and many more in various locality.
SORGHUM
A major cereal mostly found in the Northern axis of Nigeria. The value chains include – Glucose syrup (Cadbury) , malted and unmalted Soghum is extensively used for brewing as adjunct of malted barley(through enzymatic hydrolysis at set temperature. the carbohydrates are converted into simple sugars)
OTHER CEREAL CROPS
Efforts must be intensified on these Millet, Sesame seeds, Acha etc commonly found in the Northern Axis of Nigeria . these food crops are what over 50% of (Nprthern) Nigeria population are feeding on, the availability must be ensured.
LEGUMES
These are different varieties of beans mostly from the North. Consumed largely in the southern part of Nigeria.

Tea are rich in antioxidants and polyphenol ( Epillocatein Gallelate)EGCG. Three categories of Tea exist., The black, green and white. With lots of pharmaceutical potency.
Tea plantations abound in the North East of Nigeria especially on the Manbila plateau.
SUGARCANE
HUGE Plantation of sugarcane abound in the Niger River Basin, Central and North Eastern zones of Nigeria.

Federal government revolution in Rice farming/ agriculture is legendary. From Rice importation of over 1 MMT from Thailand to about less than half this indeed is a revolution. Be that as it may, the affordability must be ensured as the current economical realities is affecting the reach of rice to the majority. More effort is needed on the Availability. If the theme of UN 2030 Food Sustainability is to be ensured the Tripple A(s) of AVAILABILITY, ACCEPTABILITY AND AFFORDABILITY must be ensured.
GUM ARABIC
Commonly found in the North East of Nigeria is awaiting huge exploitation as export produce.
COFFEE
Coffee is the second most valuable commodity after crude oil over two billions cups are taken daily Worldover. In 2015, coffee sales attracted about $48billion in America at retail price of $22 weekly (3times daily ) while world over it’s more.

There are three stages of Coffee plantation .
Bean growth — Coffee plants flowers 3-4 yrs. after planting , Coffee Cherise ripens 8 months after flowering and changes colour from green to red followed by Harvesting and PROCESSING.
In Nigeria , coffee grows well in S/South (Akwa Ibom) and N/East.

Non-acid food pH 4.5 are on border line eg. Pineapple, Tomatoes they can sporulate. The pasteurization temperature is 110 degree centigrade, can sizes determine rate of pasteurization. Over 50% of harvested fruits got perished , fruits Processing is very key to national development in terms of nutritional benefits more Micro and Small scale fruits and vegetables Processing plants are needed.
VEGETABLES packaging can be done through Gasification using inert gas (Co2, nitrogen) or by Vaccum packaging. and maintaining the cold chain regime. Massive Organic commercial farming in fruits and vegetables are export delight.

TYPES OF COLD CHAINS
-SHOCK FREEZERS
Shock Freezers are professional equipment that controls temperature necessary for keeping products fresh for a long time.
While preserving the products the equipment makes to keep undamaged nutritional value of the products after being defrosted. The equipment is made to consists of Double Stage Semi Hermatic compressors. The Shock freezers system allows to lower the temperature very rapidly up to -180°C degrees. Freezing is provided by air coolers of it by blowing over fronted surface of the wagon. This enables to freeze down quickly in cold air flow. The room air should not exceed 35°/-40.°C. Besides, it’s proven to be a low-waste and environment friendly system.
COLDSTORAGE
This system is manufactured and installed with the entire components like it is ready to use. It could be of mobile device.
This system can be disassembled so it can be moved to other places.
Cold storage consist of the following levels and types of preserving:
-Cold-rooms 🙁 +16° / +5°C)
-Cold storage Rooms (+5°/-5°C)
-Freezing Rooms : (-18°/-23°C)
-Shock freezer :(-35°/-40°C) .
DEEPFREEZE ROOMS.
These are for preserving products such as meat, poultry etc. For a long time. They are preserved under temperatures not exceeding – 18°/-23°C. In order to isolate these rooms 150mm width sandwich panels are used.
COLD ROOMS
Cold rooms are used to keep baked goods, chocolates etc.
The cold rooms prevent bacteria from growing. Low ventilation allows workers to work without endangering their health which is very important aspect too.
