TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO. — WITH PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU NIGERIA ‘LL BE FIXED.-(an update)
■ The greatness of an Organisation or a Nation will be directly proportional to the greatness/quality of its leader. It’s rare for an organisation to rise above their leaders.
■ Great Organisations or Nations seldom emerge under PYGMY leadership.

LEADERSHIP
Enough cannot be said of “PBAT’s” leadership directions , the issue of good leadership dispositions is very germaine and crucial in the current democratic dispensation in Nigeria especially now that the nation is yawning for a new dawn of industrial growth and development.
• His antecedents as a team player, sagacious and tactical politican came to the fore when a ruling party was roundly defeated by his political party.
• His ability to build bridges and tenacious networks of friends and associates across the divides.
• His actuarial competence in the business world.
• His skillfulness in crisis management.
• Am yet to see a more vilified leader yet with such a spartan composure and focused mien.
• Lagos had gone through challenges of deprivation that could have subsumed her but for the fine and dudged leadership in “PBAT”.
Remembering “The Last Man Standing ” days when Lagos was stifled of Federal allocation, ‘ because it dared to create 57 LCDA.by referendum In a dramatic turn of event the leadership of Asiwaju turned the tide to opportunities that promoted Lagos to a pride of place in Nigeria and beyond by atuning to “Outside The Box” ideology increasing the IGR from mere 600m Naira to 45bn Naira monthly.
These feats can only be
achieved by a Great leader .
Let’s give ×3 GBOSAs!!! (cheers)
The pulling down of the subsidy scam in Nigeria can only be effected by a skillfully “deep ” leaderdhip on top of his game.
● The greatness of an ORGANISATION or a NATION will be directly proportional to the greatness of its leader. It’s rare for an organisation to rise above their Leaders.
● Great Organisations or Nations seldom emerge under pygmy leaders. From the above Nigeria needs a Germane Contender and not pretenders.
The secret of institution building is premised on welding a team of people and lifting them to grow above what they would have otherwise be, the big objective is developing their full potentials rather than making issues out of their minor errors. This certainly is a unique reward for Leadership.
It is on this context that the following elucidations on Great leadership are made..
— GREAT LEADERS lead leaders while leaders lead followers. It is tragic and great mistakes for a leader to become indispensable. In most cases it’s the fear of insecurity that drive people to hoard all leadership opportunities to self, having feelings that others are not capable to succeed them.while others may be so engrossed in their work to give no room for others to develop in an organization. Most leaders enjoy being indispensable only to remain in organization’s limelight. Rightaway Asiwaju showed this trait by delegating his Vice on state functions.
NAPOLEON’S greatest failure at the battle of Waterloo was not having trained his Generals to think independently of him. One of his General ‘Grouchy’ lacked initiative, authority and energy taking refuge in literary obedience to orders. When Napoleon’s orders eventually came it was lacking in precisition and too late. Napoleon was said to be frightening and criticising his Generals mistakes but refuse to teach them his methods or to form a staff college. He relied entirely on himself. His failure to develop leaders around him cost him his empire.
On the contrary, Gen. GEORGE MARSHALL (US,)army. kept a “black book ” of all the soldiers he believe showed promise for future leadership. Who ever demonstrate leadership ability he added to his list whenever vacancies exist in the officers corps he reffered to his black book. This system enabled him (Marshall) to develop a large military organization filled with talented , efficient and effective officers.
One of the most common failures of leaders is that they spend little time or effort preparing their organization for their departure. However, the greatest test of great leaders is how well their organization do after their exit.
Biblically, Samuel was a great spiritual leader in Israel but at his exit the Israelites rejected his two sons Joel and Abijah , he did not train his sons in the way of the Lord. He failed as a parent and as a leader..
Developing leaders must be a core value of worthy leaders.
Good leaders must exhibit these traits.
—– Leaders Must DELEGATES — This is often difficult for leaders to do since they are generally highly skilled individuals who can do things well on their own, in most cases they are perfectionists – the disadvantage is that the growth of the organization is directly attached to the amount of time and energy the leaders have to exit.
—– Leaders Must Give People FREEDOM to Fail.
When leaders delegate they must cease to interfere. Nothing demoralises staff faster than constant meddling in their work.
Employees may propose ideas and methods that differ from what the leaders would have preferred ,this takes the discretion of leaders to weigh the value of both sides, leaders whose people are reluctant to work for them or experiencing difficulties recruiting should consider whether they have developed reputation for meddling..
— Leaders Must Recognize the Success of Others. – A sure way to stifle initiative of staff and volunteers is to take the credit for their efforts.
* Great rewards leaders can give even more than remuneration is recognition. Praising and acknowledgment of their contributions is highly appreciated.
* Great reward leaders can give is recognition of staff’s efforts.
An American President Harry Truman recognized the services of his Secretary of State George Marshall when he (Marshall) presented the post world war 11 reconstruction vote of $17 billion- European Recovery Program Plan that would help rebuild Europe and also hurtle the US into world prominence as Super power rather than call the plan Truman Plan – The President called it “Marshall Plan” this pronoun has taken a worldwide status today in government projects. This self- effacing leadership endeared Tuman to people..
——- Leaders Must Encourage And Support.
Delegation is a hazardous though necessary task of leadership it is on this note that every time leaders delegate they do so with clear understanding that the “buck stops on their tables”. Using football tournaments as analogy – when the team wins it’s the clubs effort but if they loose the coach is fired. Mature leaders know that leaders don’t give excuses they understand and accept the performance of their organization as their own, it’s a sign of deficiency in leadership when leaders pass bucks. Reasons why people fail in a task could be traced to
* the leader’s poor choice in assigning a job to one who is not prepared to handle it.
*Could be the leader didn’t provide enough support, training or feedback.
* Sometimes the lapse could be traced back to the leader’s communication skill or how clearly the assignment was explained.
Nevertheless, regardless of reasons for failure good leaders ‘ll support their people when they fail , using failure to help them grow.
CONCLUSION
Good Leaders delegate, Resist Interference, Give credit to where it’s due and deserved , finally support and encourage his leaders
‘PBAT’, TESTED, TRUSTED AND PROVEN.

EXITING POVERTY
China was crowned the POVERTY capital of the world between 1990 – 2013 , passing over the crown to India. China took advantage of the Western world and Japan who flooded China with their industrial technological productivity due to the cheap labour cost (sweat shops.) in China. The Chinese learnt the ROPES and started developing their own MSMES in manufacturing and got involved in infrastructural development of construction (construction which Nigeria is currently into) by 2013 and beyond China is now World power.
INDIA
The poor India of then worked hard to become INCREDIBLE INDIA.
The Incredible India had over time upgraded herself for the future by taking education very seriously in the 1960-70s, At the emergence of IT she latched into it’s development in the 60s.
In agriculture
India started importation of hybrid cereal grains of wheat, rice etc from the West for agricultural production .
In India today they are self sufficient in grains, same goes for pharmacology and manufacturing. Today, Indians are controlling almost all institutions globally from Banks, IT, Digital technology, Space technology, Health, and many other sectors. The Incredible India is only next to China in creativity and investment globally..
Nigeria (the current title holder in the poverty arena) blessed with huge population of enlighten teeming youthful population in ICT, Medics, and many other sectorial strength must look inwards to develop their own rather than Japa. I see Nigeria becoming greater than the aforementioned nations if only we can learn from the above nations.

DRUG AWARENESS AND PREVENTION
There is need to have a steely resolve to challenge the narratives at NDLEA. The authorities at the helms believe that the war against drugs abuse is Winnable with determination to break the stranglehold.
MOTIVATION of personnels who are the tools of work is very important to lifting the morale is vital, as morale is a battle winning factor, providing adequate arsenal for fight that matches drug barons’, the partner and the international partners are part of the global intelligence gatherings.
DRUG CARTELS epitomizes an organization, this organization tries to insulate the leadership by breaking into layers, that prevents getting to the top.
Intelligence is very vital, adequate training of the staff and in partnership with International partners.
CAUSES OF DRUG ABUSE.
Macro economic aspect where prosperity is needed to tackle poverty. Lifting people out of poverty by various programs is inevitable.
Poverty is the major cause, the teeming youthful population including teirary institutions graduates should be encouraged to learn trade and given seed money for formation of.
MSMES.
TYPES OF DRUGS
Cocaine, Methamphetamine and Heroin are pretty expensive but not cannabis grown locally and quite inexpensive. 70%. (about 106 million) of drugs abuse use cannabis they smoke it, eat it, drink it and even snort it.
The country needs more councelling and help centers with more rehab centers. The clergy (Christian, Muslim) should setup rehab including communities, traditional institution, media, everyone including celebrities.
SOLUTIONS
The campaign “War Against Drug Abuse ” (WADA) be carried to family members, communities, at LG. levels and. States, school systems and Drug free clubs in schools.
Advocacy to traditional institutions and religious institutions.
There is dearth of rehabilitation centers, set up call centers to address stigmas. Drug testing before admission to school, before employment or before running for political office, before wedding for documentation just like HIV, genotype instead of one chance scenerio is very important.

TEXTILE INDUSTRY NIGERIA & AFCFTA.

THE TEXTILE lndustries are in a strait and need serious surgical operation and assistance from the Federal government and stakeholders to bounce back. About 20 years ago we had about 180 factories but currently less than 20 are operating below 23% of installed capacity, the reason is not unconnected with Federal government’s liberalization policy on import into the country that allows anything to come in and compete with local production from Asia.
Before the liberalization, the industry could boast about 500,000 jobs, the textile produces 100% cotton which is affordable for all. WufasAgronet is using this medium to appeal to the Nigeria Custom Service NCS and Standard Organization of Nigeria SON to rise up and protect the industry from importation of substandard products. Also with the advent of AFCFTA dumping of substandard products must be stopped.
Currently, the industry will only come to reconning if it can surmount the following hurdles, power supply, cost of imputs, such as fuels for powering generators, raw materials, personnels to produce at low competitive cost and price.
CBN intervention on anchor borrower scheme on cotton farming be looked into.
UNIFORMS
The Federal and state governments agencies such as Police. Army, NYSC, Customs amongst others. should paronise the local industry. Also TAUPOULIN and CANVAS supplies be sourced locally.
Enabling environment should be created for the future of Nigeria textiles industries. The potentials are there capacity and basic raw materials available. IF ONLY SUMGGLING IS CURTAILED.
